Accommodation in Rwanda
Accommodation may come with the job for Marriott workers in Rwanda. Some of our expatriate employees can get a housing allowance (for example at Kigali Marriott Hotel and Four Points by Sheraton) or provided accommodation. Talk to us at the interview stage to find out if this applies to your chosen position.
Rwanda Language Requirements
Ideally, our associates in Rwanda should have a good command of English, some familiarity with the local language Kinyarwanda, and also some French. If any other languages are needed, we’ll add this to the job listing.

Annual Leave in Rwanda
Annual leave for Marriott employees in Rwanda starts at 18 days a year and can increase with time to a maximum of 21 days a year. There are 15 public holidays in Rwanda.
Sick Leave Policy for Marriott Rwanda
Associates in Rwanda can get up to 15 days of paid short-term sick leave, as long as they present a valid medical certificate. For certified sick leave more than 15 days long, associates may be eligible for three months on full pay and then a further three months unpaid.
Maternity, Paternity & Adoption Leave
Eligible associates can use parental leave to welcome their new arrival to the family. We typically offer 12 weeks of maternity leave (which can start two weeks before the delivery date) and four days of paternity leave. The same allowances apply for adoption leave.
Relocation Support to Rwanda
New starters who are leaving their home country to join us in Rwanda may be eligible for some relocation support, including financial support and transportation of their personal belongings. The level of support provided will depend on the job and the band the role sits in.
Salary Payment
Salaries are paid monthly on the last day of the month. Our apprentices and interns may be eligible for support with things like meals, transportation or other benefits, depending on the terms of their agreement with us.
Pay For Night Shifts & Overtime
Associates who work overtime beyond their normal weekly working hours can be compensated with time off, which they need to take over the following 30 days.

New starters may need to do a medical check before they start work with Marriott.
