We may provide some support for the commute to and from work for associates in particular job roles, either helping with costs or supplying transportation.

Everyone who works for us can use Explore by Marriott Bonvoy, our global discount scheme. It grants you a reduced rate on nights in our hotels, and discounts on meals and beverages, too.
Service Charges & Tips in Kenya
Some of our associates can earn tips during their shifts. We have a tips committee that is responsible for distributing them and there is a separate policy for sharing out any service charge payments.

Annual Leave in Kenya
Our Kenya-based associates receive a leave package each year so they can plan some well-deserved time off. Our expat workers usually get 30 days a year, while locals usually get 26 days.
Sick Leave Policy for Marriott Kenya
If you need to take sick leave, you can usually claim seven days on full pay and seven further days on half pay.
Maternity, Paternity & Adoption Leave
Associates who have a new arrival on the way can use their allocated parental leave. We typically offer 90 days for maternity leave, 14 days for paternity leave and 30 days for adoption leave.
Relocation Support to Kenya
If you’re relocating to Kenya to start a role with us, we may be able to offer you some relocation help, such as contributing towards your travel costs.
Salary Payment
We comply with Kenya’s minimum wage guidelines for all of our associates.
Pay For Night Shifts & Overtime
Employees who work night shifts may earn a higher hourly rate. Overtime can be settled with time off or pay for any additional hours at the usual rate.
Reference checks in Kenya
We’ll need to contact at least one of your previous workplaces or educational bodies to obtain references to support your application to us in Kenya.
Medical Screening For Applicants in Kenya
If the job you’re applying for involves food preparation for guests, you’ll need to have a medical check before you start work with us. You may be asked to repeat this health check every six months.
On-Duty Meals
Our employees in Kenya can eat a free meal in the canteen while they are on shift with us.
Uniform Allowance Policy
Guest-facing roles usually require branded uniforms. We’ll supply these to you ready for your start date, if required.
Ways of Working in Kenya
We typically offer full-time working patterns for our Kenya-based associates, who generally work in eight-hour shifts. If you’d like to discuss the possibility of part-time work, speak to your hiring manager. We don’t currently offer flexible or remote working in Kenya.
